Knowledge is the best tool against anxiety. Here's what you need to know before your visit.
Fast for 8 hours prior to sedation (no food or drink). Water is allowed up to 2 hours before.
Arrange for a responsible adult to drive you to and from the office if sedation is used.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Avoid jewelry and makeup on the day of surgery.
Provide a complete list of medications and health conditions during check-in.
Bite gently on gauze for 30–45 minutes to control bleeding. Change as needed.
Apply ice packs to the outside of your face for 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off.
Eat soft, cool foods for the first 24 hours. Avoid hot liquids, straws, and vigorous rinsing.
Take prescribed medications exactly as directed. Call us if you have concerns or unusual symptoms.
